Swimming Pool Maintenance doesn't need to be a huge job. If properly maintained, in fact the pool will be less work than one which has been neglected. In the long run, a properly maintained pool will require less expense and components will last much longer than one which received the bare minimum.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some Pool Maintentance Points:

• Run the filter 24 hours a day. To save power, at the minimum have the filter running during daylight hours. Set it on a timer if necessary.

• Check the skimmer daily to ensure proper water flow.

• Proper chlorine levels must be maintained at all times. This will inhibit growth of bacteria and other waterborne organisms.

• Keep your pool cover clean so that when you put it back on the pool debris and dirt do not fall in.

• Don't wait too long to add water. The quickest way to maintain pool water level is by adding water during your maintenance time.

• Add chemicals to the pool water a little at a time rather than in large doses. It is easier to add more than it is to drain water and replace it.

• Check your pump pressure. High pressures can cause problems like ruptures. Clogged filters are a cause of high pressures.

• Make sure the heater doesn't have debris in it or around it.

• Always check for leaks and fix immediately before they become big leaks and cause other issues.
